Music, Hoops, Horns & Hats…what more could you ask for on a Friday night at The Bluebird Theater?  Thank you Rob Drabkin for yet another year of incredible music…our world is a better place because of your tunes!   With 3 of our favorites from 4 years of concerts Rob, SHEL & Dave Tamkin all sharing the stage on the same night…my series Strings & Wood Concerts  couldn’t have asked for a better night to be a part of.  2013 music in Denver is off to an amazing start!

Marciel Greene | New York City | All Her Own Boudoir & Lifestyle Photography by Art Heffron

New York City has had my heart and my soul for as long as I can remember.  My recent trip to NYC was filled with more amazing moments that I can even begin to write about, one of those amazing moments was when I met Marciel Greene the super talented NYC Lighting Designer for EYESIGHT Fashion & Luxury Events!   Marciel heard I was coming to NYC through our shared friend Terra Mackintosh who I did an ‘All  Her Own’ session for last year and asked if she could book a session with me.  I knew from the minute we met in her Manhattan living room that this session was going to be a blast!  Thank you Marciel for the NYC hospitality and for being so much fun to work with…until next time!

There is nothing more exciting than watching a family anticipate the arrival of their first child into the world!  Julie & Adam welcomed little Carter in to their family on June 5th.  It has been such a privilege knowing Julie & Adam over the past year, I’m grateful to both ISES Denver & The Little White Dress for first introducing us.  This Maternity sesh took place just weeks before Carter decided he would join us!   Congrats Julie, Adam & Carter … you all make a beautiful family!

Sheila Perkins (My Wonderful Neice) Senior Sesh

It seems like just yesterday I was pushing her through the Pensacola Mall in her stroller while taking her to her first movie the Lion King!

I’m so proud of the young women who is responsible making me become an Uncle 18 years ago!  Today Sheila Perkins graduates from high school in Sacramento, California.  After hours of travel and delays, it looks like I am going to arrive just in time to see her walk the line and enjoy time with my wonderful family!   Times like these are priceless!

We have been absolutely grateful our relationship with Cate Malone and everyone at the  Little White Dress in Highlands Square!  I was especially thrilled when we were approached about being on their list of  preferred wedding specialists!   Through our relationship, I was asked to photograph a few of their upcoming 2012 Trunk Shows.  Most recently I had the privilege of photographing the Fancy Trunk Show featuring New York designer Gregory Nato!  Gregory just might be one of the most creative individuals I have ever met!  His dresses are incredible…vintage inspired, alternative to the formal gown & perfect for the bride who exudes elegance, & embraces a retro flair!  I also had the thrill of meeting & working along side the brilliant Sally Walker of Alchemy Mineral Blends…so much talent all in one place! Art Heffron | Wedding Photographer | Emma & Dustin Engaged | “works of Art”

A Night & Day in Breck:  You gotta love it when an engagement session starts at midnight with dancing on bar room tables in the middle of Breckinridge and continues the next day with a gondola ride to Peak 8.  With its rustic fields and narrow alleyways, the Colorado mountain town of Breck is a certainly a wedding photographer’s playground!

As for the Special Couple, well…there is never a dull moment with Emma & Dustin – these two beautiful people were definitely made for each other.   Their energy, passion & love for life are contagious.

Thank you, Emma & Dustin, for an absolutely amazing weekend and for reminding me how much I LOVE MY JOB!  It’s been a blast getting to know you both over the past year, and we can’t wait for your big day!!
