When I’m not loving life by ”working” as a photographer, you can usually find me running my non-profit concert series (my ‘labor of love’), Strings & Wood Concerts.  This past February I organized & celebrated 2 years of Strings & Wood Concerts at The Oriental Theater with an entire lineup of Denver’s top songwriters & bands.  To raise a little extra money for the organization, I auctioned off a photo session for anyone who wanted to bid.  Arthur Infante ended up being the highest bidder and won the photo session on behalf of his friends, Michaele & Ken, who are soon expecting their first child.  What an incredible and fun-loving couple Ken & Michaele are!  They filled my studio with so much love and warmth.  It is always inspiring to photograph families with this much passion & care for each other.  Their little guy is due in just a few short weeks…what a wonderful & welcoming entrance into the world he is going to receive with Michaele & Ken as his excited new parents!  To learn more about me and my work as a wedding, family & fashion photographer, please take a few minutes to enjoy the rest of the AHP website.  Thanks again, Michaele and Ken!  You two are amazing…congrats on this new and exciting chapter in your life together!

When Karyn & I are not out photographing weddings around Colorado & the rest of the country, one of our passions is photographing families while they await the arrival of a new little one!  You can tell a lot about a family who gets excited about having their pictures made while “she’s” expecting!  Whether the family arrives gracefully ‘bearing it all’ or comes crisply covered from head to toe, we know we’re in for an inspiring and refreshing day of fun when someone asks to have this beautiful time in their lives documented.  As mentioned in my last post, on occasion I have the privilege of working as a guest photographer for one of my main associate photographers, Daylene Wilson.  Daylene asked me if I would come along and assist on this incredible session with Juliet and Justin as they awaited the arrival of little Indigo, who was actually born just 1 week after our photo session.  Daylene & Juliet also twisted my arm into using the Art Heffron Photography Studio for Juliet’s maternity session…and I’m glad they did.  Our session together was full of creativity & emotion and ended with quite the ‘bang’  as Juliet’s fire fingers set off the fire alarm!
